How to get visa on arrival for Vietnam

Step 1: Register online, including personal information:

  • Nationality
  • Visa number
  • Purpose of entry
  • Visa type (1 time – exit and entry once) or (multiple times – exit and entry into Vietnam more than once) (in the time you choose).
  • Date of entry
  • Departure date
  • Airport you will arrive
  • Full name (as in passport)
  • Sex
  • Date of birth
  • Passport number (valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date)
  • Passport expiration date

After you submit the completed form and submit the service fee, you will receive a confirmation email.

Step 2: Receive the approval letter via email

For visa on arrival (only by air), you will receive a Vietnam visa approval letter via email. The required processing time is 2-3 days (normal service) and only 4 working hours in an emergency. This approval letter is proof of obtaining your official visa at Vietnam airport.

Step 3: Receive Visa On Arrival (stamped on your passport)

Upon arrival at Vietnam International Airport, please go to the Visa counter to complete the procedure (pay the stamping fee and get the visa on the passport).

Note: The stamping fee is paid directly at the airport.

The normal type of visa on arrival is single entry, 1 month. If you need to enter Vietnam many times and stay longer, you may have the options of 1-month multiple entry, 3-month single entry or 3-month multiple entry visas.
